It’s that time of year again and TWBiz has just released their much anticipated preview of the upcoming Fall 2009 skate shoe collection. Many of these we’ve seen before, but some are entirely new. Stand outs from the freshman class include (all pictured below): Osiris Pixel, éS Drone (which both seem to share the same colorway), Globe Rage LTD, DVS Jeron Wilson, and Etnies Mikey Taylor. Transworld also has a nice write-up covering trends and themes for the season which include: mid/high/sky-tops, collaborations, more and more tech, and reissues.

Element shoes has just launched a new line for Spring 2009 that’s part of their Power to the Planet Collection which features a host of environmentally conscious products. In the case of footwear, that means using less harmful manufacturing methods as well incorporating sustainable materials such as bamboo.

The line includes 3 styles, the Carnegie Pp, Tim Tim Pp, and Why-no Pp. All styles seem to be sporting the same vulcanized sole, with fairly similar uppers. We suppose the bland colors are to reduce the amount of dye that’s used during the manufacturing process (certain tanneries being some of the worst offenders when it comes to managing waste). But the amount of rubber in a fully vulcanized sole seems to be an interesting choice. Not sure if it’s coming from recycled tires or something like that…

It’s been a bit hard to find out any more information about these, so if anyone out there has the scoop, please drop us a line!
