Plan B

Something just showed up in a bunch of people’s inbox’s that’s causing quite a stir. It appears that Plan B, the venerable mainstay of modern skateboarding has decided to enter the shoe game. That however is not the jaw-dropping part…their first shoe will seemingly be a nod to something that Converse designed and produced for the the first time almost 100 years ago, the Chuck Taylor All-star…

Called “The Classic”, the similarities with the All-star are obvious at first glance. A simple canvas or perf leather upper, stuck to a tacky rubber sole. Sound basic? Well it is. That’s why it was first relased in 1917! Joking aside, it’s obvious that Plan-B is taking its foray into footwear slowly by putting out a simple, cost-effective shoe. It was cheap to design, it’ll be cheap to manufacture, it should have a nice price point, and you know what…I bet they’ll sell a ton of ‘em.

Transworld has the latest on Nike’s fall line-up, featuring the Zoom Tre Pilgrim we just posted about, a new P-Rod II colorway, and a new colorway on the Nike Dunk Mid-Pro. Check out the original post for a few more styles, plus some pretty nice looking apparel as well.
