As we reported back in August, Caswell Berry’s first signature shoe was due to be released this Spring. Well guess what folks…it’s here and it doesn’t have a vulcanized sole!!! Check out its cup-sole glory below, plus a peek at the fresh orange/lime-green/grey colorway we’re really diggin’.

Adidas just launched a new update to their site. Overall it’s a clean design with some nice new content including some sick footage from Japan. We also really like the transparent shoe break-down (second pic below) which gives a nice view into the different components that make up each shoe. Check out the scans below, or just head on over to check out the flash goodness.

Vox recently updated their site with this Spring/Summer’s releases. As we’ve come to expect, the line-up is a solid skateable mix of shoes all at very reasonable price-points. Stand-outs include the Hewitt 2 and the new JT Aultz pro-model (both pictured below). Also checkout Transworld Biz to learn about how a production mistake ended up in a limited batch of “Relief Troopers” going out to select retailers to be sold at bargain basement prices. Very cool idea indeed!

We’ve included a few scans from the book above to give you a taste of what it includes. Head on over to their website for more info and lots more pics, or like we said…Just buy it!

Sneaker Freaker posted a nice interview with Nike SB Zoom Veloce designer, James Arizumi. It’s a quick but interesting read. James talks about the inspiration for the Veloce, as well as its similarities with the Zoom Tre A.D. He also discusses the overall skate shoe design philosophy up in Beaverton, and where the Nike SB line-up is heading this year and beyond. Check out the full article here.

Branching out from a strictly skate shoe line-up, this Spring’s 2009 C1rca Select collection bridges the gap between skate and fashion footwear. On the one hand you’ve got purely skate inspired shoes like the Pusher and the 205 Vulc, on the other hand there’s the New Balance inspired Getaway and the Crook which feature “streamlined athletic shoe fit and construction” and are explicitly “not built on (a) skate shoe platform”.

Overall we like the look of a lot of these shoes. It’s nice to see C1rca branching out and doing it in style. Take a look at the full brochure, including apparel and accessories, here.
